Our story

Serapath is a band formed in 2023 by lead guitarist Sam Mills, based in the South West of England. The group met each other in an out-of-school music activity 'Rock Project' and decided to turn it into a band of their own. As a band, their sound can best be described as a fusion of hard rock and grunge with various sub-genres of metal, including alternative, nu, and groove, and they enjoy seeking inspiration through covering their favourite artists.

Hello, I'm Blanka and I'm the vocalist and occasional rhythm guitarist of Serapath.
I listen to a wide range of music but mostly rock and metal. My favourite bands include Tool, Gojira, Massive Attack, Radiohead, Alice In Chains, Metallica, Rammstein, Pearl Jam, Sepultura, and many more. The vocalists of these bands have greatly inspired me with my own approach to vocals
While I really love progressive and groove metal, I also really like post-rock, world music, film soundtracks, grunge, trip-hop, classical, jazz, folk, etc... I like to listen to as much music as I can and I'm always discovering new sounds.
I also really love film, and I'm very inspired by films when writing lyrics or 'visually' interpreting songs. I'm also fascinated by literature, philosophy, psychology, languages, politics, archaeology, travel, writing, spirituality, etc.
The thrill I get from gigging and singing in general is unmatched, and music really feels like more than just a hobby. If there's one thing people take away from our music, I hope it's that they feel as excitable about it as I do listening to my favourite artists. :)

Sam Mills

Hi, I’m Sam Mills, the lead guitarist of the heavy metal band Serapath. I have drawn inspiration from legendary bands like Metallica, Mötley Crüe, and Guns N' Roses.
My first encounter with a guitar was at the age of 12, and from that moment, I was hooked. I spent hours in my bedroom, mastering the intricate riffs and solos of Metallica's Kirk Hammett, Mötley Crüe's Mick Mars, and Guns N' Roses' Slash. These guitar legends shaped my playing style, characterized by arpeggios, searing bends, and a flair for dramatic, high-octane solos.
Pursuing a dream of becoming a professional musician was not without its challenges. I have had to experiment with many riffs for my band; some have worked, some haven’t. Many solo licks have been created, with some failing and many succeeding.
Since forming Serapath, I have been on the best journey with my bandmates and hope to have an amazing future with them as we make music and perform live.
My journey from a young, aspiring guitarist to the lead guitarist of Serapath is a testament to my talent, hard work, and passion for music. Here’s to an amazing future!

Ethan Giloi

Hi, I'm Ethan Giloi, the drummer in the heavy metal band Serapath.
I have been playing drums since around 2012 at age 5. I draw inspiration from several artists such as Joey Jordison from Slipknot, Dave Grohl from Nirvana, II from Sleep Token and many more.
I try to keep original with my playing while still paying homage to who I have grown up watching. Whether that be using similar phrasing or using similar patterns around the kit.
My fondness for drums came about while watching drum solos in the garage with my dad and wishing I could do the things they were doing; ever since then I have put thousands of hours in to accomplish that.
Growing up I was a massive fan of rap and hip hop, with a little bit of exposure to nu metal. More recently my style has transcended into more metal genres such thrash, heavy annd nu metal.
With Serapath I strive to achieve the most I can as a musician while constantly improving my personal playing.
